Policies
The following are the policies
and procedures which govern the use of the Alps Boulder Canyon Inn
for rehearsal dinners, weddings, and receptions. The total number
of guests is restricted to a maximum of 150 persons. This is done
in an effort to ensure the safety of your guests, and to protect the
physical facilities from damage. In the event that your guest count
exceeds 150, we will not be able to admit the additional guests.
In the event that guests arrive
prior to the contracted guest period, the guest time will commence
with the time of guest arrival rather than the contracted guest time.
When the Alps is being rented for a wedding reception only, and if
you feel that early arrivals might be an issue, it would be our suggestion
that your wedding invitation state a specific starting time for your
reception rather than announcing that the “reception follows
the ceremony.”
CHILDREN-Due
to the value of the furnishings of the Estate as well as the delicate
nature of landscaping, it is imperative that parents take the responsibility
for the continuous supervision of their children. Many wedding parties
have found that they can both protect the Alps’ facilities,
as well as provide a more worry-free experience for their guests,
if they hire professionals to supervise the activities of the children.
The Alps common areas are
decorated in the spirit of the great lodges, as well as seasonally.
It will not be possible to remove decorations for individual events.
The player piano in the lounge
may be utilized for events but cannot be moved.
Birdseed, rice, flower petals or confetti may not be thrown anywhere
on the property. Our wedding planners may suggest alternatives.
The
Alps Boulder Canyon Inn and its grounds are strictly non-smoking.
Due to the danger of forest fires, smoking is only permitted on our
front porch where appropriate butt and ash receptacles are provided.
No sparklers or fireworks of any kind will be allowed.
Reservation
and Deposit Requirements:
If the date you desire is available, a tentative
date will be held for a period of seven calendar days. If the Wedding
Reservation Request form is not received within seven calendar days,
the date will be released. Upon receipt of the completed Wedding Reservation
Request form and a deposit of one half of the total rental fee, a
firm reservation will be held. The balance of the rental fee and $1000
Security/Damage deposit is due 15 days prior to your wedding date.
Payments made 15 days or fewer before the event must be in the form
of certified funds.
Cancellations:
In the event of a cancellation
made more than 120 days prior to your scheduled wedding or event,
your deposit will be refunded less a $300 cancellation fee. Your deposit
and/or full payment is not refundable in the event of a cancellation
119 or fewer days in advance of the scheduled event, unless another
wedding can be scheduled for the same date and time.
